TFGBV Prevention, Response, and Recovery Digital Resource Catalogue Video
Description
Technology Facilitated Gender Based Violence (TFGBV) is a growing, harmful global phenomenon which includes harassment and threats or violence used to pressure women to self-censor or withdraw from participating in online or digital forums. These forms of violence occur online but can also lead to offline harm. Women who participate in public and political life have a higher likelihood of being targeted with TFGBV due to their public facing roles. TFGBV is a human problem enabled by technology, but which requires systemic solutions that uphold women’s right to participate online and that are enforced by technology platforms and regulatory frameworks. Until those solutions are in place, women need immediate access to information, resources, and tools to strengthen their digital practices, respond to online attacks, and to build resilience.
This engaging short video provides an overview of the curated a Digital Resource Catalogue designed by the USAID Transform Digital Spaces program to help women prevent their exposure to TFGBV, respond to acts of TFGBV directed at them, or find resources for recovery and resiliency.
