Civic Network Analysis (CNA): A Guide for Strategy and Action in Restrictive Context

Description

Civic Network Analysis (CNA) is a participatory exercise designed to help social movements and informal organizations in politically restrictive contexts strategize about how to build solidarity and support for their cause within their existing social networks. The CNA guide helps international partners working with human rights activists, marginalized groups, and other grassroots organizations understand whether, why, and how to conduct a network analysis. The guide gives users a variety of options to approach a CNA, all with the goal of helping expand the possibilities for collective action and solidarity within the constraints of concerns for information and individual security.
