Community engagement lies at the heart of any civil society organisation's (CSO) work.

But how can you engage a community effectively from the very beginning – and how can you keep the community meaningfully engaged throughout your intervention?

This course shows you how you can introduce yourself, your organisation and your initiative to a community, formally and informally.

It guides you through various techniques for mapping a community, some of which are inspired by the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method.

The course shows you how you can plan together with the community by using prototyping and focus group discussions.

Finally, the course explains various practical ways of maintaining two-way feedback loops and getting the community to evaluate your CSO’s performance.

Only learners registered in the course can download the resources.
